Registration takes place online, is binding and requires payment of the course fees. Attendance at the registered course is personal and cannot be transferred. Changes to course bookings can only be made in consultation with Bailamos Salsa GmbH. By registering, course participants recognise the General Terms and Conditions of Bailamos Salsa GmbH and at the same time confirm that they have read them. If participation in a registered course/workshop is not possible, cancellation is possible up to 48 hours before the start of the course/workshop cycle without incurring any costs. Cancellations of courses/workshops/trial lessons etc. must be sent in writing by email to info@bailamos-salsa.ch. If the cancellation is made after the deadline of 48 hours before the start of the course/workshop cycle or if there is no cancellation at all, the full course fee is owed in any case. Bailamos Salsa GmbH accepts no liability in the event of illness/accident, work-related or other hindrances.
With the new registration for course continuation by the course participants or by the course instructors, the course participants recognise the General Terms and Conditions. The registration is binding and obliges the participant to pay the course fees unless an objection is submitted in writing within 48 hours before the start of the course/workshop cycle. The objection must be sent by email to info@bailamos-salsa.ch.
It is generally possible to repeat courses at any time. If a course is repeated within 6 months of completion, we grant a price reduction*. After this period, repetition at reduced course fees can no longer be granted. All previously completed courses within this period can be repeated. The course fees for repeating courses are published on our website under ‘Our range of courses’.
*The price reduction can only be granted on the regular courses of the advanced course programme. For all other courses (club courses & special courses) the normal rates apply.
Individuals without a dance partner can of course register for a course. We will endeavour to find a dance partner, but cannot guarantee this.
The course fees are published on the website under Current courses and under Details for the individual courses. All prices are per person unless otherwise stated.
The course fees are to be paid in cash to the course instructor at the 1st lesson or at the latest at the 2nd lesson of the course. For individual lessons, the course fees must be paid on the day of the lesson. Non-payment of the course fee does not constitute cancellation. Unpaid course fees will be invoiced. Bailamos Salsa GmbH reserves the right to send reminders for outstanding course fees and to charge a reminder fee of CHF 10.00 per reminder. Furthermore, Bailamos Salsa GmbH reserves the right to exclude course participants from the course and from subsequent courses in individual cases after repeated requests for payment until the course fees have been paid.
The purchase of a voucher, Power-Dancer-Pass from Bailamos Salsa GmbH is binding. There is no right of cancellation and/or withdrawal. The place of jurisdiction is Basel-Stadt. The order must be made in writing to info@bailamos-salsa.ch. The validity period is limited to 12 months from the date of issue. Vouchers, Power-Dancer-Pass etc. from Bailamos Salsa are personal and cannot be transferred to third parties. They authorise the person specified therein to visit the club for the purpose and at the price specified in the voucher or Power Dancer Pass after full payment. Vouchers, Power Dancer Passes etc. are always sent together with the invoice by e-mail. There are no shipping costs, as vouchers, Power Dancer Passes etc. are printed out by the customer. On request, they can be sent by post, but against payment of an administration fee of CHF 7.00. There are no partial refunds, cash payments or offsetting for vouchers, Power Dancer Passes. Claims for damages due to incorrect texts and prices are excluded. Prices are subject to change.
The course usually comprises 8 lessons. A course cycle therefore lasts 8 weeks. Intensive courses, special courses, workshops, etc. may differ from the usual course duration. Any deviations are noted on the website under course details. Course cycle period:
Regular course: 8 lessons; 1 lesson of 55 minutes per week
Intensive course: 5 lessons within 1 week; 1 lesson of 55 minutes per day
Lessons that are not attended during a course are forfeited. Lessons that are cancelled at the time of registration and/or 48 hours before the start of the course cycle can be made up after consultation with Bailamos Salsa GmbH. In the case of ongoing courses, lessons must be made up within the course cycle period of the registered course at the same or any lower course level. A list of all current courses (highlighted in grey) can be found in our course overview. Making up for cancelled lessons of special courses (training classes, master classes, Intermediate Open Level, Advanced Open Level etc.) must be arranged with Bailamos Salsa GmbH. The crediting of missed lessons to a new course is excluded. Course cancellation or missed lessons do not justify a refund of course fees. If only individual lessons of a course can be attended, this is possible after consultation with Bailamos Salsa GmbH. Individual lessons can be booked at a rate of CHF 30.00/lesson of 55 minutes.
To ensure that the courses are balanced and that a dance partner is available for all course participants, we rely on course participants cancelling their participation if they are unable to attend. Cancellations must be made in writing by email or text message directly to the dance teacher 24 hours in advance whenever possible, but no later than 12 hours before the start of the lesson on the respective course day. Upon receipt of the cancellation, the entitlement to the unattended lessons expires. Bailamos Salsa GmbH assumes no liability in the event of illness/accident, professional or other prevention.
If it is no longer possible to attend lessons in an ongoing course for health reasons, this must be communicated immediately by email to info@bailamos-salsa.ch together with the medical certificate. The day of notification is the cancellation date. The course fees are due in any case. The missed lessons will be credited in the form of a voucher, provided that the course fees have been paid. A cash refund is excluded.
A trial lesson (taster lesson) can take place in any course listed on the course programme by prior arrangement with Bailamos Salsa GmbH. Trial lessons must be booked in advance. If the trial lesson takes place at the beginning of the course cycle and the course is subsequently attended, the full course fee including the trial lesson must be paid. After the trial lesson, you must inform us within 24 hours by e-mail to info@bailamos-salsa.ch whether the course will be continued or not. If participation in a trial lesson is not possible, this must be reported 48 hours before the start of the trial lesson by email to info@bailamos-salsa.ch. If the trial lesson was arranged at short notice, i.e. less than 48 hours before the start of the trial lesson, the cancellation must be made immediately by email. Trial lessons cannot be organised for workshops.
Private lessons must be booked via info@bailamos-salsa.ch. Private lessons must be paid for in cash when they are booked.
Normally, a course is led by a team of teachers (two people). Styling courses are led by one teacher. If a teacher is unavailable due to absence, illness, accident, etc., the course/workshop will continue with a substitute. However, the course can also be held temporarily by another teacher. Bailamos Salsa GmbH reserves the right to change teachers for organisational reasons etc. during ongoing courses. Bailamos Salsa GmbH can also cancel and/or postpone a lesson without giving reasons. Course participants may be notified of cancellations at short notice by email or SMS. There is no entitlement to a refund of course fees or to make up lessons due to cancelled lessons, change of teachers or postponement of lessons. If a course participant interrupts the current course due to the continuation of the course by a substitute, change of teacher, etc., there is no entitlement to a refund or to make up for lessons not attended. The course fees are due in any case.
An active Bailamos Salsa course participant (person who is registered as a regular participant in a course) has already attended courses at Bailamos Salsa and would like to repeat what they have learnt. The ideal option is to work as a substitute. Helping out is possible in the course levels and dance styles that were completed at Bailamos Salsa no longer than 12 months ago. People who have attended more advanced courses are of course still welcome to help out. In the ‘Open Level Courses’ it is not possible to participate as a substitute. You can register as a helper. After registration, you will be added to the helper leader or follower chat. If helpers are required for an entire course or individual lessons, the job will be advertised via the WhatsApp chat. Helpers do not pay for their work.
Bailamos Salsa GmbH reserves the right to postpone or cancel a course/workshop if not enough registrations have been received. This may occur at short notice for organisational reasons. Bailamos Salsa GmbH sets a minimum and maximum number of participants for each course/workshop in order to be able to organise the courses/workshops under optimal conditions. Course places will be allocated according to the order in which registrations are received.
Bailamos Salsa GmbH reserves the right to exclude one or more course participants from a course/workshop as well as events organised by Bailamos Salsa GmbH and carried out in the name of Bailamos Salsa GmbH for good cause. The course fees are due in all cases, i.e. there will be neither a pro rata refund nor a waiver of the course fees. Exclusion from the course is due to non-payment of course fees or in serious cases such as harassment, defamation, deliberate damage to property, failure to follow the house rules, failure to follow the instructions and orders of the school management and/or the course instructors.
For all courses/workshops etc. and events organised by Bailamos Salsa GmbH, any liability for damages incurred is excluded. Course participants are obliged to take out sufficient accident and liability insurance cover themselves. Bailamos Salsa GmbH cannot be held liable for theft or loss of items or for accidents. If a course participant suffers from an illness or has health restrictions that limit participation in the course or individual dance exercises, this must be reported by email to info@bailamos-salsa.ch before the start of the course cycle. The course instructors must also be informed. In the event of severe health restrictions, the course participant must clarify the necessary medical clarifications with the doctor in advance. Participation is at the participant's own risk.
Without the express permission of Bailamos Salsa GmbH and/or the course participants, no video or audio recordings may be made in any premises of Bailamos Salsa GmbH or in premises where Bailamos Salsa GmbH teaches. The recording of step sequences, figures, choreographies, etc. is only permitted with the express permission of Bailamos Salsa GmbH or its representatives (dance teachers) and is intended for personal use only. The direct or indirect passing on to third parties - in particular through commercial lessons or training, against payment or free of charge - as well as publication on the Internet, social media such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. and passing on by mobile phone etc. is prohibited.
By registering, participants agree that Bailamos Salsa GmbH may use their data, photos, etc. for further purposes (advertising, information about new offers, mailing list, etc.). The data, photos etc. will not be passed on to third parties. Our advertising can be cancelled at any time by writing to info@bailamos-salsa.ch.
Bailamos Salsa GmbH reserves the right to make programme and price changes as well as changes to the General Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
Swiss law is applicable to all legal relationships with Bailamos Salsa GmbH. The place of jurisdiction for any disputes is Basel-Stadt.
